01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

If you find yourself in Maricopa craving authentic Mexican cuisine, Francisco's Mexican Food is a standout destination that promises a genuinely satisfying experience. Nestled conveniently at 20800 N Maricopa Rd, this local gem is proud to serve up vibrant, hearty dishes full of flavor and made with fresh ingredients that honor the traditional tastes of Mexico.

From the moment you step in, you’ll notice that the atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming—a no-fuss setting where the focus is firmly on the food. The decor is simple, yet the kitchen truly shines, delivering bold flavors that keep guests coming back. It’s a place that feels familiar and comforting, much like a beloved neighborhood spot.

The menu boasts an all-day lineup of crowd-pleasers. For lighter yet satisfying bites, the tostadas are a must-try; whether it’s the savory Carne Asada Tostada or the classic Chicken Tostada, each layered with beans, fresh lettuce, cheese, and ripe tomatoes, the textures and flavors meld beautifully with that crispy toasted base. Fans of cheesy goodness will delight in their quesadillas, especially the Carnitas Quesadilla served with creamy guacamole and tangy sour cream, creating a perfect balance of richness and zest. Not to be missed are the Super Nachos piled high with steak, guacamole, and pico de gallo—an indulgent treat that’s as visually inviting as it is delicious.

Many customers appreciate the freshness and care that goes into every dish. One patron praised the “fresh tortillas and balanced salsas,” highlighting the way sauces elevate each bite without overpowering. Another reviewer noted how their shrimp and carne asada burritos were “hot, delicious, and freshly made,” with guacamole that stood out as particularly exceptional. The food’s authenticity shines through in every mouthful—from the smoky grilled meats to the perfectly seasoned beans and Spanish rice served alongside.

Service here is warm and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Guests often mention friendly staff who prepare meals promptly and with care, even offering salsa to-go orders to complete your meal perfectly. While the restaurant’s look may come across as modest, the flavors are anything but—they deliver a rich, comforting taste of Mexico’s street food culture that feels deeply satisfying.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down to savor a hearty meal, Francisco's Mexican Food offers a dependable spot for genuine Mexican fare that fills you up and delights your palate. Don’t leave without trying the carne asada fries or the big, fulfilling burritos that guests rave about as the best in town. This is a place where the love of food is evident in every ingredient and every bite, making it a delicious highlight of Maricopa’s culinary scene.

When in Maricopa and are craving Mexican food, stop here! This spot was a delightful surprise! Ambiance and decor are basic. Decent sized (Big Burritos) are tasty. I also tried their rolled tacos special, they are average. Overall, a decent place, stick with burritos .

I visited Francisco's Mexican Food restaruant around noon and was surprised that no other customers were in the dining room at the time. I ordered chicken enchiladas with beans and rice to go. The food was prepared very quickly and the employee who took my order was very nice. She asked me if I wanted some salsa, which I did, and she got some for me. The total was $11.14. The food was good, but not necessarily the best enchiladas I've ever had. Still, it was a decent meal and I'd eat there again.

Absolutely amazing food!! Nothing like fresh tortillas and balanced salsas. We got the Number 21 combo - enough for my husband and I to share and be filled for lunch! There was a huge line. It’s a little bit of a dive, but the food and service was exceptional!

We recently visited Francisco's Mexican Food and picked up a shrimp burrito and a carne asada burrito. Both were hot, delicious, and freshly made. We also got a side of guacamole and sour cream—the guacamole was particularly delicious. Their red and green sauces were flavorful without being too spicy, adding just the right touch to our meal. The restaurant offers plenty of seating, and the service was fast and friendly. Overall, it was a great dining experience with tasty food and excellent service.

Overall when I came in for a meal after a long 12 hour day of working I ordered a California burrito. The burrito was MASSIVE and for the $12.01 it was a great size and well worth the money. The flavor was delicious in every way from the grill marks on the outside to the Carne Asada and the fries inside were still crispy even covered in guac. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had while eating out especially because of the price to quality and quantity ratio. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to stop in and have a delicious experience!!!
